To the Last Gasp
I learned early in life the world of sales teaches you a great deal and far more about life than most imagine.
My father, the greatest damn closer and motivator I have met to this day, taught a generation of sales professional how many a day a day of poor results can turn in a flash with a last gasp close. That lesson, working relentlessly to the last gasp, was one I took forward in every aspect of life and in many ways saved my life.
I faced many a trial in life, early health problems, academic challenge, business issues and each one was overcame, a last gasp close, when my back was against the wall. It is a crucial lesson, whether you are part of the great profession of sales or other, keep driving to the last gasp and when others wilt, where most have given up, push harder. Push a lot harder and refuse to accept defeat.
So that is what I have done through my life and my career.
To this I remind, when surrounded by your foe, whether the face of fear or other, remember now they cannot escape you.
Fight to the last gasp for it’s not over until I damn well say it is.
Be bold, be audacious, attack, attack, attack.
