'Look how wrong you can be'
Somewhere along the road travelled, likely around 1982 or so, I began to understand my greatest enemy was staring back at me in the mirror.
It was me. My fears, my worse than you can imagine destructive habits and, despite the —- façade, insecurities were weighing me down.
This understanding did not come to me overnight, it fact it was one of those tough razors edge journey that balances between success and failure but when it did the victories came thick and often.
Yet that is where the surprise comes, for as much as I realised the root of my problem was snarling back in the mirror the road to my success was to give more, a lot more.
Flash forward five years later the punk snarling kid had grown, barely resembling himself in many a way, travelling so far east most thought I was from the west, and learned rather than taking just keep giving. I learned that the many secrets of success are not always complex and starts far more simply.
I spent a lifetime trying to put this simple notion into words, spoke at length in countless lectures and meetings but each was far more complex than needed. In the end it was simple;
Care more, people matter.
Give more than you take.
Adopt such and every success you ever dreamed will be closer but more importantly the real victories you may not even understand today pour into your life as thick as honey.
As always my friends, JKD
