Right Coast Pro's Delaware Pro Wrestling "Curveball" Event Recap. 16May15

ProgramInside Results May16 2015RightCoastPro Wrestling “Curveball” Results from 5/16/15 – Newark, Delaware

Quick Results:

• The “Mercenary” Nick Sohlo takes the RCP Heavyweight Championship from Aaron Stride!

• The “Legendary” Cheetah Master returns to the ring with a broken arm (thanks to the Baldwin’s). He names Ryan Rush as his replacement in his match vs Harry M. Baldwin.

• Chris “The Show” Steeler beats “Bad Apple” Matt MacIntosh for the #1 Contender spot

• “Hall Of Famer” Mozart Fontaine takes the win over “The Prince of Aesthetics” Damian Gibbs who is wearing Coastee (the Monkey Mascots) ring attire (details below)!

• “Heavyweight” Sean Royal takes the win over “Latin Lover” Chachi then announces he has chosen a new partner to re-form his team of the “Heavyweights”!

• Ruby Rubino gets a cheap win over Colton Quest as manager Sebastian Night creates a big distraction ringside to favor Rubino. • Anthony Bowens gets the pin over Bobby Wayward in an edge-of-your-seat action packed solid technical wrestling match.

• Rush vs Baldwin turned into a 2-on-1 NO DQ when CEO Clarke Kelly deemed it so! Ryan Rush, however, still gets the pin over both Baldwin Brothers (Harry & Jerry) after a little assistance from newly formed team of the “Heavyweights” Sean Royal and debuting Tim Taylor!

The night marked the first return to the ring since 2013 of the iconic Delaware wrestling legend known as the Cheetah Master! He was called out by CEO Clarke Kelly and challenged to a battle by Harry M. Baldwin.

Cheetah 1 RCP21 RightCoastPro Wrestling Delaware Community Entertainment Event

Baldwin only insisted on the match up after his brothers, Jerry and Brutus, brutally damaged Cheetah Master’s already injured arm while portraying innocent fans seeking an autograph in Cheetah Masters place of business! We caught it all on tape, and have proof of the shenanigans! Long story short, Cheetah Master put CEO Clarke Kelly in his place and saved Ryan Rush from being fired with a victory over the Baldwin Brothers as Cheetah Master had Rush replace him in his originally announced matchup facing Baldwin.

"God's Gift" Aaron Stride was hit with a huge “Curve Ball” as “Mercenary” Nick Sohlo took his RCP Heavyweight Championship Title in a clean 1-2-3 finish!

Sohlo Stride 1 RCP21 RightCoastPro Wrestling Delaware Community Entertainment Event

Perhaps Stride and his #BFF Manager, Josh Maddoxx took the competition too lightly and didn’t prepare enough? Perhaps their arrogance and over confidence blurred their vision; perhaps Stride just wasn’t good enough to beat Sohlo? Maybe all it takes is one big boot to the head to put Stride in his place, and Sohlo found that formula! In any event, his strategy worked, everyone was stunned including CEO Clarke Kelly who no longer has “his guy” in the top position! Talk around the water cooler will certainly be interesting at RCP headquarters this week! Will this turn Clarke Kelly’s aggression from Ryan Rush over to the new champ, Nick Sohlo? Will Kelly find another “Curve Ball” to knock the new champ for a loop! Has anyone heard from the Former Champ since his unexpected loss? The next few months are sure to be interesting at RightCoastPro!

Chris “The Show” Steeler steals the #1 Contender spot from Matt MacIntosh in a fast paced, action-packed battle.

Steeler Macintosh 1 RCP21 RightCoastPro Wrestling Delaware Community Entertainment Event

MacIntosh was on the attack immediately as he and Steeler exchanged blows throughout the match. Both competitors, pretty evenly skilled for the duration, took an equal share of a beating both in and out of the ring. MacIntosh hit a perfectly beautiful dropkick as Steeler went down to the gasping concern of the crowd. We thought that was it until Steeler mustered up enough strength to get to his feet, where MacIntosh again, took him down. MacIntosh, diving from the top rope for a finisher, got caught with a surprise, out-of-nowhere super kick from Steeler. Down goes MacIntosh and Steeler over for the win to screaming adulation of the crowd.

“Hall of Famer” Mozart Fontaine takes the win over “The Prince of Aesthetics” Damian Gibbs.

Gibbs Fontaine 1 RCP21 RightCoastPro Wrestling Delaware Community Entertainment Event

. This was almost a quick and easy 10 count in Fontaine’s favor as Gibbs was hesitant in making his entrance. Seems that the RCP Mascot, Coastee, had stolen Gibb’s gear bag and all his belongings, leaving Gibbs with only the monkey’s ring attire! Even though he looked “appealing” in the bright yellow singlet donning the banana brigade’s logo, Gibbs was embarrassed and didn’t want to perform in the ridiculous outfit! Once Ref Reese gave the ultimatum, get in the ring or you are counted out, Gibbs reluctantly made his way and started the match. He was highly aggressive at that point and showed no mercy to opponent Fontaine. Although there was no lacking in wrestling skill, Gibbs lack of self-confidence while wearing the banana brigade colors left him vulnerable. The run-in by the monkey Coastee, who was actually wearing Gibbs’ ring gear, was the final straw! Gibbs lost control long enough that Fontaine was able to roll him up for the pin.

“Heavyweight” Sean Royal takes the win over the ridiculous “Latin Lover” Chachi.

chachi 1 RCP21 RightCoastPro Wrestling Delaware Community Entertainment Event

Fan favorite Sean Royal commands the performance with every move. Chachi was merely running to catch up. Chachi starts off with a few intense offensive maneuvers and we were worried for a second or two, but Royal, with his speed and agility runs circles around his opponent. Chachi decides to make it more about him and demands his salsa music be played! After that, it all went south as the mascot Coastee with new found friend Pedro Duro come crashing through the curtain with Gibbs in hot pursuit! Somehow Pedro Duro gets in on the salsa dancing, Chachi is now in a dance competition and Gibbs has the monkey stranded in the corner! Once Ref Peace takes control of the situation, seems that Pedro Duro knocked out Gibbs, the monkey and Duro are now best friends and Royal was able to pin Chachi, because, yes, there was a match still going on!

“Untouchable” Anthony Bowens gets the win over Bobby Wayward in the hottest opener to a show we’ve seen in a while.

Bowens 1 RCP21 RightCoastPro Wrestling Delaware Community Entertainment Event

Somehow, Chachi and his outrageous antics got him the lead in the match. Even after Salsa dancing, bringing a chair into the ring, and taking some rough top-rope maneuvers from Cruz, Chachi still managed to come out with the win. One trip for Chachi to the top rope is all it took to end the match clean with a frog splash and Cruz being carried out of the ring by security.

Ruby Rubino gets a cheap win over fan favorite, Colton Quest.

Ruby 1 RCP21 RightCoastPro Wrestling Delaware Community Entertainment Event

It was blatantly obvious that he had a handful of tights and we have the pictures to prove it! Even the crowd agreed that Quest was robbed, as they chanted loudly against Rubino the entire match. Quest, coming off a knee injury from last month, was vulnerable with his wrapped knee. Rubino took advantage of that and worked the injury for the entire match. Quest was down, but not out, he was holding his own and working a great defense against Rubino until manager Sebastian Night jumped in to distract the ref then miraculously fell to the ground causing a bigger disruption. Somehow, while all attention was on Night, a foreign object was thrown into the ring to Rubino who used it to bonk Quest one last time so he could get the win. A win is a win, but we still didn’t like this ending!

Ryan “Adrenaline” Rush gets the pin over debuting Jerry Baldwin in the 2-on-1, No DQ match.

Heavyweights 1 RCP21 RightCoastPro Wrestling Delaware Community Entertainment Event

This was an unexpected finish since Ryan Rush was originally set to get his pink slip from CEO Clarke Kelly at this show. Kelly has an ongoing vendetta to rid RCP of Rush “Curve Ball” was to be the event where it happens. As the original match was booked, The Cheetah Master was supposed to face Harry M. Baldwin in a singles match. Harry had his brothers, Jerry & Brutus break Cheetah Masters arm so he would have to forfeit the match to Baldwin. Cheetah Master would never forfeit, so instead he insisted Rush takes his place since he had recorded evidence that his broken arm was NOT an accident. If Rush wins, he keeps his spot with RCP. Kelly OK’d the last match for Rush knowing that he would make it a 2-on-1 match and Rush had no chance of winning. As the match progresses, Rush is taking a pretty bad beating at the hands of the Baldwin’s. Once Kelly announces that the match is now a NO DQ, the Baldwin’s grab their baseball bats and start a relentless attack on Rush. While the Baldwin’s are busy showboating their power, out comes Sean Royal with his new “Heavyweight” partner, Tim Taylor, to help Rush. The match now turns into a tag team brawl with the Baldwin’s facing the Heavyweights as Rush is able to regain his composure on the outside of the ring. Once again, the Baldwin’s think they have it won and start the arrogant showboating. Out of nowhere - Rush hits both competitors with a beautiful springboard somersault plancha then lands on Jerry Baldwin for the 3 count and the win. The Baldwin’s are shocked, Clarke Kelly can’t believe his eyes and the Heavyweights celebrate the win with Rush as the crowd screams with delight! Surely another “Curve Ball” on this night, no one saw this coming!
